Project Overview:
For this project, I have to develop a brand for a restaurant where it evokes emotion and provides a sense of the experience that people will get from the place. Sabela is a Filipino restaurant where people experience and learn about the Filipino culture through the foods. Once inside the restaurant, people will feel the classical Spanish with a touch of a modern feel.
Winner Logo Design
During the ideation process for the logo design, I decided to use my grandmother's name and her story as my inspiration for this project. I also included the Baybayin, an ancient Tagalog writing system used by the Indigenous communities in the Philippines, to capture the Traditional and modern feel.

The font Abril Fatface has an elegant appearance and associates it with the chosen colour palette, which gives a warm feeling. Sabela is a mother of 6 and a loving grandmother to all her grandchildren.

With this piece, I wanted the customers to interact with our brand, and I thought of 2 ways:
First idea: By scanning the QR code on the menu holder (left), customers are to post on their social media the food they ordered, and with the use of the hashtag, their photos will be featured on our social media page.

Second Idea: While waiting for their food, inside the restaurant, the vast white background filled with different Filipino Dialects and their Baybayin translation. Customers are free to write the word "Delicious" in their language.
